It'll all be worth it the end I assume? That's why people go through all that hardship. I mean I can't think of anything worse but either you're totally batshit insane or you'll go through hell and back for one of the most important things in life.

Plus you've already done it twice so I can only imagine you'll be sitting on the table, legs up, sunglasses on, cigar in one hand and scotch in the other.

Haha I think it's safe to say I'm both batshit crazy and willing to go through hell and back to bring another life into our family :p It is definitely worth it in the end, of course. Sadly, I wish I could say I was handling it like a champ but this one has been way worse on me than the first two, so I've been an absolute wuss about it for the most part. I'm getting better as I progress though, I just keep looking towards the finish line.

Being pregnant is fun. I got excited the other day and decided to figure out when we need to start trying for another one so we can have a Monkey baby. I'd really like a Taurus Monkey, but I'd settle for a few other things.

It's fun for some people. lol
My first pregnancy was way easier than Chase and this one. But this one I've been doing more pregnant stuff, like looking on pinterest and pretending I might do things I find on pinterest but really I'll just pin them and forget.

Yeah, I meant being pregnant is fun for me. I love being pregnant.

Pinterest is a close second though.

Ugh, my period came early AGAIN...on my boyfriend's birthday.

Also, why is it that whenever I change my tampon, I have to take a shit immediately after?  :angry

So my uterine health is kind of super important to me and I wanted a second opinion on this thing I found, vaginal steam baths.

You just make a steam bath with herbs and put it in a bowl in the toilet and sit over it for 20 minutes. I was kinda like lol... but then I poked around a little and it's something that's been done almost all over the world forever for different reasons, Asians to North Americans to Mayans to Africans. So then I thought there was maybe something to it. Does anyone think it's worth pursuing? I can spare 20 minutes every few days for something like this.

I don't think it would hurt to try it once and see if it does anything for you, then you can report back to us on what you thought

I've heard about these before, and heard some positive effects. I'm all for naturopathic remedies, I think you should give it a shot and see how it goes!

You would need to be careful about the herbs that you choose to use though, especially if you tend to have a sensitive hoohaa (who doesn't?). There seems to be a lot of info out there though , and it's easy enough to research the qualities of certain herbs. Let me know what you use/ how you go!

I was going to aim for mint and ginger to start, since those are readily available to me and cheap. I was frustrated to find out that you shouldn't use essential oils and only the herb itself, since I have oils.

I'm going to go ahead and give it a shot, and do this other thing I found in my Googling spree last night about feminine organs called Mayan Abdominal Massage.

They are pretty tame as far as herbs go, so they would be great for your first try. Yeah essential oils are super concentrated - if you used just a little too much you'd be in trouble. Most herbs are fairly cheap though, and you only need a small amount. You could decide exactly what you need for your body and choose the right herbs for it :D

I think I might give it a try as well actually.

I've heard of the Mayan Abdominal Massage but don't know anyone who's had it done. Are you going to do it to yourself?

OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT TRAINING POTTIES ARE PERFECT FOR THIS KIND OF STEAM.

I'm going to give it a start myself and see how it goes. The nearest clinic to me that does it is 2 hours away each way and it's close to $300 for the first session. I found instructions for a lower and upper at-home massage and then I found similar instructions on a popular exercise website that encourages everyone to do it to look skinnier.

Aw man. I knew there was a downside to me not having children somewhere. Be careful if they're plastic though!

That is on the pricey side :/ I am always skeptical of doing my own massages unless I really know what i'm doing - sometimes it can cause more harm than good. Of course you could always use a human experiment first…..*cough*…Yung..*cough*.

I'm sure there would be some decent Youtube tutorials or something out there though.

Yeah, BPA-vag probably wouldn't be fun long-term. I think I have a glass bowl that would fit perfectly inside it though??

I was going to youtube the hell out of it first. I'm also pretty confident on where my uterus is and should be, as well as my bladder. (I poke myself a lot and always have) I actually feel more confident in massaging my abdomen than doing yoga.

All I can think of right now are minty vaginas.

It's a bit of a dilemma actually considering I love mint. Vagina...I cannot vouch.

Can't mint make the skin tingle?  I have a lot of mint products and they always make me all tingly.

I have a minty conditioner, and it makes my head feel amazingly tingly/fresh after I shower.

Okay, so I woke up at around 4 AM today in really bad pain. It was like cramps mixed with muscle spasms in both of my upper thighs. The pain would be really, really bad then stop... then be really bad again and it would just keep coming and going. I've never had that before in my life lol. My mom said that it could just be dehydration, but I've been drinking a lot of water lately. Have you guys ever had this while on your period before?

It was probably also the worst pain I've ever felt in my life aside from when I got dry sockets lol

The pain radiating in waves sounds normal to me, Emily. My doctor tried to explain to me why the hips and the back and the thighs ache. Something about tilting, I don't even know, she was checking my boobs for lumps and it tickled so I couldn't concentrate. The good news is there's a cure... just eat an entire half gallon of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, take a Benadryl and pass out, because there is absolutely nothing that takes the pain away.

Also, why is it that whenever I change my tampon, I have to take a shit immediately after?  :angry

Are you putting the tampon in the right hole?

    Ladies I need opinions.

I need to get back on birth control (for various reasons, number one being no babies), and after talking with my doctor she gave me a few things to look into.

Firstly she said NO to depo, mirena or anything with (high)progestin in it, due to struggles with my weight and other medical factors.

She suggested looking into copper iud (i'm scared of this), nuva ring, or low progestin pills.

What are you on? Pro's/Con's? Would you recommend it?

I'm too lazy to read back through 27 pages and I know this has been briefly discussed before, but instead of google answers, I want real people opinions.

What have you used before? Are you leaning towards a pill? If so, would you prefer the monthly cycle or once every 3 months? How long before you might consider having kids (if you are considering that in the future)? I am not a lady, but I think those questions are important so we can know what would be best for you.
