Just because we have self esteem and don't want to deal with your condescending bullshit doesn't make us under educated and willfully ignorant. There are plenty of people who come here to just talk to their friends, not to justify themselves to you. It's not that you don't "fit in" you simply make yourself unapproachable by constantly having a negative opinion on EVERYTHING. Your posts give the impression that you're above having a simple friendly conversation and that everything is a debate.

I also don't have a negative opinion on anything, or consider myself above having a friendly conversation. I don't, however, feel the need to be friendly towards people I don't like or respect.

I have seen instances where no one is disagreeing with you or even acknowledging your existence and you come in calling their opinion wrong or saying something completely rude to them. Maybe it's just the teacher in you that you don't like people to be "wrong" but not everyone has to justify themselves to you if they're not even trying to sway anyone's opinion.

I don't believe I often enter a thread and open with an offensive comment, either, with the possible exception of ongoing conflict.

I don't really feel like making a new topic for this but I just want to say that I am kind of shocked at how different the attitude of the forum is now from what it was a month or two ago when I was last active.  I can't even formulate what I want to say about it.

 

Like, I was all excited to get internet at our house and get my computer back so that I could check up on Codex and see what was going on, say hi to all of you guys, tell you about what's been going on in my life, tell you how much I missed you and all that... but it's so unfriendly and cold here now.

I don't really feel like making a new topic for this but I just want to say that I am kind of shocked at how different the attitude of the forum is now from what it was a month or two ago when I was last active.  I can't even formulate what I want to say about it.

You may think you're disagreeing with people civilly but obviously many others think differently. When it's happening on a regular basis that someone can't post a simple opinion without you claiming it to be "wrong" they're not going to want to post anymore. I didn't tell you to respect everyone's opinion, I didn't tell you to agree with everyone, I'm simply saying that you make it very hard for people to want to post on this forum. I've gotten complaints from newbies saying they don't want to post because as soon as they try to venture outside of the newbie forum and post something here comes the "ur wrong" brigade telling them how inferior they are. It's not nice. I've never experienced this kind of behavior from the staff at any other forum I've been to. You seem to be under the impression that this is all about you, how you view people, how people justify themselves to you, how they phrase their opinion to you, how right they are to you. This is neocodex not Sweenycodex get over yourself.
