lol he hasn't been active in months and you guys are still arguing about him

I miss being a mod.

Lets just say he made a very lasting impression.

I am glad you two are happy together though. :p

Actually, I think it was just a reference to STM always saying he wants to mod an anime/hip hop(?) section. :p

Ah. Either way, it was funny to me.

Yes, really.
If you choose to view this as self-centered (even though it regards the entire staff lol) you're more than welcome to do that, but it's apparent that others understood the actual meaning behind the thread.
That's all I care about :3

My thread is not self-centered..
This thread is self-centered: The Sweeney Appreciation Thread

As to the first bit, I wasn't referring to you specifically as self centered. I was making a general statement about all of us, collectively, posting our first world problems on the internet. If you chose to interpret that to mean you and your thread... who am I to disagree?

As to the second bit, Yung beat me to it:

To be fair... Sweeney did not name his thread that. Originally it was called Things I Would Change and if I recall correctly it was Waser or Slink who changed it to The Sweeney Appreciation Thread. I'll try to find the post that references the change.

Sweeney didn't make that thread about him, other users made it about him because we could appreciate what he was trying to do.

Calm down lilt boy.

All of the internets to you.

Inside joke circa 2004. Jeeebus.

Well to be fair, he definitely made the thread about him, anyone can read the OP and see that.
The title was just changed in good humor. :p

I was just poking fun anyway, it was the first thing that came to mind when I thought about self-centered threads. Aside from Kami, but I try not to give him any more attention than he had before he was banned lol

Well, reading this thread has made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Other than that, I'm bored and lonely ^_^

When are you coming back to these great states? Last I heard, you're still waiting on a visa.

How long has it been now?

I've been here for just about three months. I believe that answers both questions...

If we're going to Texas, we're paying the Fort Worth TSA a visit.

LOL.

Is there a story involved? Otherwise that was a reference that escapes me.

Also, if you come to Fort Worth you're stopping at more than one house...

On my way back to America for the second time this year, I went via DFW. They pulled me aside at passport control and sat me in a waiting room for an hour, before the immigration agent told me he "could get me on intent to stay" but was going to let me through. The guy sat next to him told me that he would have sent me home. I missed my connection, and had to wait around six hours for the next flight to Sandiford Field.

Your intent is to eventually stay, is it not? :p (just further along in the future, and legally and all....)

Well, yeah. But the idea that some shithead immigration officer thinks I intend to stay in the country illegally, when I'm in the middle of applying for a visa, is... irritating.

Take a letter from your employer that states your planned date of return to work, along with a copy of your return travel itinerary.

You'll have been back in the UK much longer than I had been, so you ought to be fine.

I'm self-employed...

They weren't too bad with me last time so I guess it probably won't be too bad on the way back. TSA will be full of holiday cheer I'm sure
