!!!! Update: Version 1.6 released !!!!

 

Hi guys

 

As you might know the Attic restock times appear to have changed lately, and this has broken Abrosia when used for restocking in the Attic.

 

This means that we need to collectively figure out what the new pattern is (if there is one), and to do that we need data.

 

I've written a small app that logs you in and continously refreshes at the attic, checking for new restocks and restock bans. This data is then recorded to a log file which I'll need you to send to me for analysis and reconciliation with other 

 

Please use this program at your own risk. In theory as this isn't actually buying anything or doing anything with any level of speed, it shouldn't be dangerous. However, as it's brand new, untested code, there are always risks. As always, no liability should your account get frozen, etc etc.

NOTE: This is Windows only, and requires the .NET framework. If you've run Valorous' programs lately, I think you should be OK. If you do have any problems, please post in this thread.

You can pre-empt any problems by downloading the required .NET framework version from HERE.

 

Instructions on how to use this is and what actions are performed are provided in the README.txt within the zip.

 

As already mentioned, this is brand new, so please check back here for updates regularly.

 

I would recommend using this for only 1 hour at a time. The log file might get a little large too, so keep an eye on that.

 

Your log file should be found in the bin\Logs\ directory, and can be uploaded to 

http://www.speedy.sh 

or 

http://pastebin.com

 when you've been running it for a while.

 

Please send this to me via PM with details of your account age & anything else important -- the data isn't very sensitive, but in theory, neopets could reconcile request timings if they got ahold of the log file (although this is very unlikely).

In the README it'll tell you everything you need to know (10 seconds when not RS banned, 30 when banned)

 

This is also configurable, but right now the .bat file isn't making use of the ability to configure it.

I have mine running right now. You could probably get rid of the lines that say all the items that are in the shop or when it restocks...not really relevant if you're just trying to find out when it restocks.

 

 

-edit- ANNnnnnnnd restock/refresh banned in under a minute.

-edit again- program stopped working on me the refresh after the ban...let me see if that's a problem or just random.

-edit again...again?- Seems to stop working the refresh after it notices a restock ban. Has stopped working on me twice, each time it was the refresh after the restock ban.

Good idea for a program, it'll help us recalibrate Abrosia faster for the attic one we can get the pattern down. Have a +rep, for making a program for this. (since I'm totally lazy and can't be bothered to sit there refreshing and tracking myself).

Yep, I haven't yet been restock banned (In over an hour of running it before this thread was created) so I was afraid there was going to be a problem.

To everyone having issues running this, I'm improving some error handling now that should help with any errors you're seeing, and should allow me to collect some more useful information when it dies.

I had the same problem because I didn't read

Open up the file with notepad, then put in your username and password and save. THEN open the file and it should work.

I didn't make it hugely obvious in the readme file, to be fair...

 

Just to be clear guys:

 

Read the README file, open up the start-analysis.bat file in a text editor (notepad is fine) and substitute your username and password into the given areas

It took me a few tries to figure this out...make sure in the start-analysis.bat file, you input your neopets information, not your codex login.
