Dragged it out way too long for what all actually happened.

Heath looks more manly than in the comics but that's because I imagined his voice to be 100% different. I still like the actor that plays him, very accurate and accuracy is important, my OCD is pleased.

Rick's face seems to be a little chubby and Maggie's hair grew a few cm overnight. I'm just being a bitch because I finished watching the previous seasons yesterday lol

The b&w scenes looked weird.

Carol reminds me a bit of comic-Andrea.
Enid reminds me of Alpha's daughter (for god's sake I finished TPB #24 yesterday and I cant remember her name). I don't like them. Carl's supposed to be with Sophia in the comics, RIGHT? ;_;

Hot damn that was a great episode.

Hard to believe we're only two episode into the season.

Was a bit surprised Olivia didn't end up killing one of Rick's group, a known Alexandrian, or Morgan.

Annoyed Carol didn't allow Morgan to keep a prisoner; sure would have been helpful gaining intel. But damn she's become such a badass. Definitely an acceptable substitute for Andrea. Can see why Kirkman says he won't kill her off, and would be perfectly okay if Rick ever died & she took over. She's like... everything Rick is only a bit more stable, calm, collected, and in control of not just herself but those around her.

Fully expected Carl to pull the casserole, see the baby monitor, and find Judith either dead or missing (preferably the former.) Especially considering she was pretty damn quiet for all the shit going on around her - semi alone should have upset her.

 

And now on to Talking Dead because I just can't wait a full week without another Walking Dead fix.

Sorry but Carol is definitely not a "substitute" for Andrea. Andrea's character was never as badass as Carol. She was weak and cared too much right down to the bitter end. Carol's character development has been wonderful from the very start. She is and always has been the queen.    

 

Sorry, meant tv Carol vs comic book Andrea. They basically swapped roles by the time they reached Alexandria in both mediums.

And yeah, tv Andrea was quite weak in a similar way that comic Carol was.

If it wasn't for Dale (at the CDC) and Shane teaching her a thing or two she would have gone down a lot earlier. 

 

But... I think it was the right call for the tv show. It was just a much more dramatic & interesting change between season one and present than some college grad working at a law firm could ever offer.

That and they've made it a point to show 'main' characters dying scenes to be left without a doubt.

 

I'm just worried that they'll just show Glenn being ripped apart whenever his scene comes up next. I mean Dale got ripped in half pretty easily so what's stopping the literal horde of zombies from digging right through Nicholas and into Glenn?

I want to believe he's alive...

Though mainly because I want a truer to comics death for him.

He wasn't on The Talking Dead as a guest or the "remembering those we've lost" segment so it's likely he's still alive...

But THEY know that we know that he's supposed to die soon so... could just be a fake out. Make us think he's still alive because that's not at all like the comics, because he's too well loved, or whatever... but in all actuality he dead. Keeps the suspense/ratings up at least a week, maybe two if the story gets split up again between (mainly) Alexandria and the others still out there.

 

I mean, it's not like they could kill off a baby without protests & blah blah blah. Maybe his comic death is also too much for the audience so this is how he meets his end. After all...

Maggie tells him she's pregnant before he goes off and meets Lucy.

Roughly the same thing happened in episode one in so many words.

"Glenn asks Maggie if she can stay at Alexandria and keep an eye on Deanna who is still dealing with the loss of Aiden and Reg. Maggie tells Glenn that's not the only reason that Glenn wants her to stay and Glenn say's he knows."

 

Besides, just how long could Nicholas's body actually protect him from a horde that large? Even if he was holding on for dear life parts of his own body, including head, are just out there. Plus said head is screaming - I'm honestly surprised we didn't see the nearest walker be attracted to that and just chow down. MAYBE if help was nearby... but most are in Alexandria and the others are leading the rest of the heard away. Maybe Jesus comes in and saves the day?
