I still can't get over Hillary praising Nancy Reagan over her non-existent AIDS activism. She let Rock Hudson die of AIDS and they were supposed to be friends. I wasn't even alive during the Reagan presidency and I knew that was wrong.

I know I'm biased because I love Bernie but he handled nancy's passing well, he praised her good heart which I believe she also had but he didn't glorify her in some bizarre way which is what Hillary did. I get it's a lil different because they were both the FLOTUS at some point but that doesn't mean you make things up or kiss that regimes ass unless it's.... to try to get Republican swing votes lmfao

    What? lol

For every single Republican that votes Bernie (if these people exist) you probably have 10+ Democrats voting for Trump. Some of them may vote that way because they think a Trump nomination is the easiest to defeat in November, but there's quite a few who, just like their Republican counterparts, love the fact that he is hated by virtually every other person/group that exists. Many Democrats (people in general actually) in the 65+ voting bloc love Trump. Of course my experience is limited to the Southeast USA, but I think that's a pretty fair assessment across the board.

    What? lol

Huh??? Bernie isn't exactly moderate in American politics lol

There are Republicans voting for Bernie. I know of several personally.

I never said Bernie was a moderate. I just said the fact that the Republican party has shifted into this extreme, fundamentalist party of crazy, they are detached from the moderates in their party.

Bernie pretty far left fiscally. And socially, he's pretty liberal and that's where he appeals to the moderate Republicans (people who tend to be fiscally conservative but socially liberal).

They all are. Like there is no moderate in the Republican party anymore lol. That's why so many Republicans are voting Bernie.

Be careful generalizing so broadly based on an extremely small sample size. There definitely are not "so many" republicans voting for Bernie.

And what are you guys even talking about, anyway? Voting in the primaries? In most states you have to be signed up with that party to vote for it, so Dems wouldn't be voting for Repubs, and vice-versa. And in the states where you don't have to be, I doubt any large amount of people are wasting their votes on the other party.

I've read statements from republicans saying they like Bernie, and democrats saying if Hillary is the nominee they won't vote for her. But I can't imagine any amount of significant crossover, with people voting on the other side.

19 states have open primaries. That's a lot. I can't claim to know how it'll play out in the general, but there are absolutely vocal Republicans who support Bernie as of now. Maybe it's just a statistical blip. Maybe there are more independents than actual self-identifying Republicans who support him.

It's actually more accurate to count which states have totally closed primaries, which is <20. Most states have semi-open primaries, open primaries, or allow you to declare at the polling booth, swearing your loyalty to a party for the presidential vote. (Which sounds pretty dramatic to me but w/e)

I think this is probably the most likely presidential race where we will have a lot of crossover, since Bernie and Trump both have radical viewpoints.

I assumed that the people who said that Republicans will vote for Bernie was the polling done a while ago that said if he was the Democratic nominee he would the only one who could win against Trump or any the Republican nominees.

I'm not saying the polling is right or not but that's how the polling was represented.

I said Bernie was going to win Illinois 4 months ago when he was down in the polls...and now he's up. Hell he was down in polls 2 weeks ago. Polls are stupid, They get like 2000 votes in these polls, while the real voting is going to get 1M+. This is why you should never go off of these polls CNN, Fox News or any of the other Hillary supporting networks do. Bernie is probably going to win Illinois by about 5%, which is my guess.

Really hoping Kasich loses Ohio and Rubio loses Florida today. I assume only the latter will happen, if either. It would also be nice if someone other than Trump wins North Carolina.
