Fuck the olympics. 16th of August is when the real sport starts.

Also, who would spend $40 billion on the olympics when half your country is starving?

A country that's vastly more concerned about looking good, then their citizens living conditions? tongue.gif

And the water situation is even worse. 1we8.gif They actually took water out of non-renewable underground aquifers to refill a dry riverbed for the Olympics water events...beautiful irony.

Most of the events are shit too, I don't really see the whole hype of it.

ya man china is fucked up so much desertification

Rebecca Adlington is now the best British swimmer in 100 years. Either her or Chris Hoy will get Sports Personality of the Year I'd imagine.

Olympics = The world watching America Dominate.

China may have more gold, but we have more medals overall....

Plus competing with china is like watching a small highschool in wyoming play american football against a huge 5A school in texas....WAY BIGGER TALENT POOL

Honestly in ten years I bet something's gonna come up. I remember analysts saying that world records for swimming are constantly being beaten. In other sports like track, most records hold out for a while. Maybe hes on to something.
