So. I was coming home today and the street before my place was blocked off by three police cars. I was like. I wonder why that is? So I get on the epic google news, and this is what I find.

Apparently, some douchebags decided to rob Mcdonalds with guns, and then got themselves owned by the police. One of the police dogs apparently was shot, and the other ran into traffic (Chasing cars isn't always a good ideal).

The thing is that I used to walk to that Mcdonalds for food sometimes (Because of the shitty road system, it faster then driving). I wonder what it would have been like if I wasn't working and had the desire for an epic mcgangbang at 10:30?

Discuss how much better life would be without guns.

For those of you that do not understand this topic. I am posing the question of. If guns never existed, and we were still at Swords/Arrows. Would the world be in a better place. Considering that its much harder to kill someone with a sword or an arrow then a gun, would this make it so less people were murdered, and less crimes commited?

You know I used to be one of those against guns...I didn't really give the 2nd Amendment too much thought, the framers intended it to be for a militia against a tyrannical government. But now, this make sense to me. Guns, when used proper, can keep your property safe and safe against a tyrannical government, to some extent. I doubt it will do much nowadays with today's technology of mass murder with the click of a button but still. Hell, what happens when people storm your property trying to loot,steal,rape,murder or whatever. Citizens do need protection. The police obviously don't give a shit about the individuals, only the society. The police are simply there for the aftermath...

Still wishy-washy about the subject, but most crimes committed with guns, they are almost always unregistered stolen guns. But we also do have the sad shootings of children, by irresponsible gun owners who don't lock their shit away.

In Canada we don't have guns nearly as much (only usually for hunting and very strict laws if you own one) and there's still murder here Although it's always stabbing...

I love how people read my topics, and were like

a)Why are you against guns
b)Guns are needed to defend against other guns
c)you cant get arid of guns by making them illega.

When this topic was never even related to any of this.

I did not post a stance on if guns were bad or not. I said, "Discuss how much better life would be without guns. " This means. If we had never bothered to event guns, how much better would life be, or how much worse? No if they were illegal, but if they never existed. Period.

How else would we fight each other? With our hands?

I understand that, but the nature of the beast is that eventually, even if guns were not created, eventually something would be that would take over guns. So...in a parallel universe, with no guns, I would say super powered crossbows haha

Anyway life without guns? People would still kill each other anyway, it would just be more stabbing and maybe with blunt objects. Didn't stop people from killing each other back then, won't stop them now. Some countries have strict gun laws to the point where not even the police have guns. But in that situation if someone illegally acquired a gun, the cops are so screwed.

Well looking way back into it, if guns weren't invented...maybe Japan and China wouldn't have lost to the westerners and would still be feudal today? Without the pokemon.
