oh boy this is bad

I figured I'd put this in chit-chat since it doesn't count the posts! I wanna know what's going on with everyone, especially the older members!!! Everytime I see a different name I get a wave of nostalgia and good (and bad lol) memories.

I guess I'll start! 2020 has been really stressful for obvious reasons, but on a bright note, I've got a girlfriend! A couple of you knew at some point I had a huge crush on this girl I went to school with but we went to different colleges (both med schools tho). We stopped talking after a while but reconnected during quarantine (online) and after lots of talking we're now official! The whole story feels like a rom-com straight out of Netflix lmao.

Also I just finished my 5th year of med school, just one more left! I'm really scared of what's gonna happen after I graduate but I'm looking forward to it!

it's my first AC game as well and I only got it bc a bunch of my friends also did and I don't regret at all. spent around 250 hours I think and it's so funnnn I'm working on flower breeding right now before I can finish building my island

I'm starting to feel scared now. Not for me, but for my country. As some of y'all know, we've got our own Trump ruling over us, and he might be more stupid than Trump. He REFUSES to accept how big of a deal this is, despite all the numbers. This monday he made an announcement saying we're overreacting and that people should go back to their normal lives because this only affects older people. Thankfully most of his voters are starting to realize how much of a dipshit he is, but that's not stopping people from listening to his bullshit and going out. We Do Not have the structure to take care of everyone at the same time. We Need this quarantine. It's not a fucking conspiracy to ruin our economy. It's real lives we're talking about.

 

I'm really mad. Really really mad.

 

Also I might have to join the forces despite still being an intern. I'm still waiting for my school's final decision. Either way I'll accept it without complaining (in fact I wish I was helping because I got used to the hospital routine and I miss it so fucking much).

Hey folks, good to see you. It's been a while, huh? I really missed this place, believe it or not.

 

As you can see, as of today, I'm not Private Leader anymore (not that it changes a lot since I disappeared ages ago lol). After not wanting to deal with this for a long time, I thought it was finally time, so I messaged Cody on discord and he was nice enough to quickly demote me so I could post this!

 

As for what happened; it kinda started with me feeling unmotivated with the rank and my position, mixed with the decrease in activity, but I wasn't ready to just let go. So instead of stepping down like a normal person, I just started checking the site less and less frequently until I deleted the bookmark for the forum and just stopped coming. And I feel really shitty for that lmao it really isn't fair with anyone, especially since this place is extremely important to me and was a huge part of my life.

I actually talked to Kate ( ) about this back in october last year, I think, about wanting to step down, but I told her I wanted to write something first and she was just waiting for me to do her part. Of course, I never got around to it

 

So yeah, that's pretty much it. I've wanted to do this for a while because I miss a lot of people from here and I was thinking about checking slack but it would feel really weird to just show up there like that without this first. I really apologize for all of this, and I hope you understand (as much as possible).

School is fucking hard but I gotta deal with it.

 

Started taking medication for depression again and oh boy what wonders it's doing. I got a couple side effects from it but nothing that compares to how I was feeling before lmao now I don't feel like not doing anything because I'm sad; only because I'm tired of school, which is normal. I also started therapy, but only had one session for now - she didn't say anything I didn't know, but it's totally different to hear from someone that never met you before, and I'm trying to apply the stuff she told me to my daily life, which seems to be working a bit.

I'd only really be interested if it was vanilla (or if we had multiple servers, if at least one of them was vanilla)

 

I think for the community a vanilla server would be more fun, especially with the aquatic update!
