Lessons learned from my fish

  • Posturing is very important. Improper body posture can give another fish the wrong idea. This may lead to a prompt and hostile rebuttal.
  • Assertiveness pays off. The passive one does not get to eat the bloodworm. But be too assertive, and your mate will hate swimming with you.
  • If you don't want intimate relations, sometimes the best thing to do is to swim away if they don't take a hint.
  • Sometimes rock bottom isn't so bad. You'll never know what you'll find among the gravel.
  • Find your safe spot, and defend it to the death.
  • A clean home is a good home. Poop too much in one location, and you'll be forced to evacuate.
  • Small fish really are safer in numbers.
  • Sometimes the flashier fish aren't always the nicest fish to be around.
  • Just because they're the same species, does not mean it's meant to be.
  • No matter how many times you may try the poo, it will taste the same every time. Some things are best to give up on.
  • Just because someone is giving you attention, does not mean that they will feed you. Begging does nothing.
  • The fish that does not swim with the group usually has health problems.
  • Everyone has their place. Some are surface dwellers, others, bottom feeders. Find your niche, and don't feel bad. Not every fish is a renaissance fish.
  • Know your schedule well. Feel empowered. The timer on the lights will always go out at the same time. This is nothing to go berserk about.
  • When it's your time to go belly up, don't worry. It is a journey we all must take.

This is the most deep life lesson about fish i have ever read.
